What I love about this work is how often families are surprised by someone they’ve known their whole lives. Nothing shows who a person really is the way a film can. It has the power to transcend time and space.

Years ago, for my thesis film at Princeton, I made a documentary about my grandmother. What began as a simple thought experiment became the family bonding experience of a lifetime.
A letter preserves someone’s words. A photograph preserves someone’s face. A film preserves it all: their voice, their mannerisms, their essence as a human being. This is what I make for families: a film of your life that will always have an audience.

After studying filmmaking at Princeton, I’m humbled to help families turn their life stories into epic narrative features. Our conversations are always relaxed, low pressure, and above all, a genuinely fun activity for even the most camera-shy people. My goal is to create a meditative space for different generations to reflect on the past, present, and future together.
