The family archive

A lifetime in good hands

A deeply personal film asks a lot of a family: photographs to find, names and dates to pin down, and questions to answer at every stage. Handled carelessly, it turns into a second job. That’s where we come in.

Our solution

A concierge for your family’s story

We built the Family Archive so we can learn your story in real depth without pestering you along the way. Your producer plans every request ahead, asks once and clearly, and handles the rest: the research, the scheduling and every file.

You give us only what we can’t know ourselves: names, context, the stories behind the photographs, and anything else that would make the film richer, always with a clear reason why. Everything lives in one private place, and you’ll hear from us only when something is ready for you.

Your producer

When we’ll need you

Between these, your producer is an email or text away, and comes to your home for the archive day and the filming. We reply within 24 hours.

  1. 01

    Welcome

Your archive opens. Your producer writes with the first questions and a short guide to gathering photographs.

  2. 02

    Before filming

The photographs that need names are waiting for you, one at a time, with what we already know. We confirm the filming day.

  3. 03

    The story

You watch the interviews cut together into the story, and tell us if anything is missing or not quite right.

  4. 04

    The finished film

It arrives in your archive with every interview and photograph.

Your review

You see the film before it’s finished

You watch the story first, with the interviews cut together. Pause where something isn’t right and leave a note at that moment, so we know exactly what you mean. We take it from there: the photographs, final edit, color and sound are ours. Your producer reaches out to talk it through, if you’d like.

Sharing

A private site for your friends and family

When the film is ready, we build a private site for the people you choose. They watch the film together, leave their reactions, and reply to the invitation if you hold a premiere. Only the people you invite can open it, and you decide when it goes live. Nothing is posted for the public to find.

Privacy

Private to your family, and yours to keep

A family’s story is personal, so the archive is private from the first day. Nothing in it is public, and nothing is shared unless you decide to share it.

When the film is finished, the archive stays as your family’s. Your grandchildren can find the whole story in one place, and you keep an open channel to our team for as long as you like: a new photograph, a new chapter, a copy for a grandchild. Write to us any time.
